I want to encourage everyone to watch one of my favorite movies. A movie I watched 30 years ago (read the book too). My ex-mother in law from my first marriage shared it with me and I have spoke of this movie many times to many people over the years. I am so thankful she encouraged me to begin this journey and truly regret not staying committed. But I am thankful I have found my way back.
The movie is a true story of a country preacher called to the big city to help gang members and junkies leave their wicked ways and to live for Jesus. The movie was released in 1970 with Erik Estrada and Pat Boone. The end will make your heart swell. God loves all of us, regardless of our past transgressions, regardless of our beliefs. He is waiting for each of us and I assure you if you are paying attention He is making his presence known to you each day.
I have always been impressed by the courage and committment of David Wilkerson. I promise if you can sit through a 90 minute movie you too will be moved and encouraged.
Have a blessed day.
