The Foundations of Christian Faith
A Complete Bible Study

The question every honest person eventually asks is the same question this study begins with: is any of this actually true — and if it is, what does it change?
The Foundations of Christian Faith is a 24-session Bible study guide for the new believer and the searching one. It begins before belief, answering the honest questions that stand between many people and faith, and moves through the full anatomy of salvation, the formed life of discipleship, and the hard questions every believer eventually faces.
The study moves through eight parts:
- How to Read This Book — What Scripture is, how it is organized, and how to read it without getting lost. Every subsequent session practices what this one teaches.
- Before You Believe — Can I trust this book? Is there actually a God? Why does a good God allow suffering? Three honest questions answered from evidence and Scripture, not from pressure.
- What Went Wrong — What sin actually is (not just bad behavior but a broken relationship and a distorted nature) and why the consequence is what it is.
- What God Did About It — Who Jesus actually is, what happened at the cross in precise biblical language, and the historical case for the resurrection.
- What Salvation Actually Is — Five sessions going deeper than the entry point: grace, faith, and justification; repentance; regeneration and the new birth; adoption; and assurance. The believer who works through all five will understand salvation at a depth most people who have been in church for years have never reached.
- The Formed Life — What prayer actually is, what Scripture does in the person who receives it, what the church actually is, what the Holy Spirit actually does, and what baptism and communion mean.
- What Gets Hard — Why Christians still sin, what to do when God feels silent, and suffering revisited now that you believe. Honest answers to the questions no one warned you about.
- Where You Go From Here — The Great Commission belongs to every believer in every setting. And what actually happens when we die.
A note on tone: this guide does not assume belief and does not apologize for the claims of Christianity. It treats the honest questions as honest questions and answers them from evidence and Scripture. The searching person who works through this study will have been given a real account of what Christianity claims and why — not a sales pitch, not a program, but the actual content of the faith.
Each 60-minute session includes:
- Assigned Scripture readings with a THE FOUNDATION box identifying what the session establishes and why it matters
- Full passage overview establishing the correct reading from the text itself
- Seven guided discussion questions with personal note-taking space
- A What This Means for Me application prompt — writing the central truth in your own words as it applies to your life specifically
- Full leader commentary at the back of the guide
Perfect for: New believer discipleship, pre-baptism study, seekers and searching people who want honest answers, small groups that include people at different points in their journey, anyone who has been in church for years and realizes the foundation was never clearly laid.
