This was a very inspiring testimony. I have watched dozens of testimonies from people just like this and the more I listen the more excited I am to face the day. I pray for success each day but I know without a doubt in my mind that when I am done going through the motions, an eternity of peace and love are waiting. I believe these stories from people having near death experiences. They discuss observing things happening to them while those around them believe them to be gone. And they share experiences beyond our imagination of what is to come. Television has created this illusion of angel wings, harps and clouds but from these testimonies it makes so much more sense. If God created this world why would it be so hard to believe our eternal home isn’t similar in design?
“Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes” (Revelation 7:15-17).
Imagine a world without pain and suffering, without hate and deceit, without war and famine. Is it not important for us to to truly understand our beginning so that we do not miss out on the grace of an eternal life? That was me! Distracted by my wordly desires. Success at the forefront while dismissing the fact that I am not even promised tomorrow. What was once important to me is now just part of my day to day but with less urgency. What matters most to me now is that I live y life as Jesus commanded…to care for others and to have faith in Him. And I pray that I can influence those I care so deeply about so that I may one day leave this world knowing that I will see them all again.
I pray that those that reject the notion of our creator and our eternal life realize that they have to look past religion and ritualist traditions of man. The Bible is full of knowledge for all of us and requires no supplemement beyond (“What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto [the Bible], nor diminish from it.” (Deut. 12:32.)). Salvation is not achieved by works and deeds, it is not achieved by tithes and rituals. It is simply achieved by trusting and believing in Jesus Christ and repenting from our sinful nature. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6.) Jesus indeed died on that cross so that we may live. Why is it so hard for us to sacrifice the wordly desires to assure our salvation beyond a very short life here?
I pray you have a blessed day and that your heart be full knowing that if tomorrow does not come you will live.
