Well 2022 was definitely a whirlwind of loss and disappointment. Lost my dad last January to what I feel is suspicious medical reasons. My wife lost her dad. My lawyer, whom I considered a friend, passed away. And now it appears I am losing one of the most important people to me just as the year is winding down. It truly puts me at a loss of words. Business has been a rollercoaster, taxes, inventory and utilities on the rise. The old me would have dealt with all of this by seeking answers at the bottom of a beer bottle but I figured out long ago there are no answers there. So tonight I am going to step out of my comfort zone and join some new friends at FaithAlive StHelen church. A couple of my kids are going to join me. I have sought answers in the worst way now I will seek answers in what I believe to be the right way. Funny thing is I am so stuck in my head with unanswered questions that I really do not want to go nor do I want to be around people but my conscience is tugging at me telling me it is what I need to do. So I will go. Additionally, I know for a fact I will be sober so if you are celebrating the new year in St Helen and find yourself needing a safe ride home shoot me a text.
