I chose to decide myself what was priority and not priority. What was urgent and what could wait. I did not seek counsel but rather relied on my free will to go it alone. I failed. I see now that the foundation of a good marriage, good home life and strong family life requires a blessing beyond my understanding. Work hard at providing but also work hard at fulfilling those most important to you. I feel so blessed to finally have my eyes open. I do not know God’s plan for me yet but my confidence is now off the charts.
Three Gifts of Marriage: Companionship, Passion and Purpose
Companionship: A partner, an unconditional love, and an uplifting spirit of support
Passion: A closeness none other can provide
Purpose: Isn’t that a question we all seek an answer to? Look to your spouse. That is where your purpose begins. Let it grow from there.
May God bless my marriage, protect my wife, watch over my children and guide me to be a better man, better husband and better father. May God give me the strength to forgive and to apologize. Humble my heart, save my soul, and take full control of my intent and methods. Amen
This is a good article. To all my married friends out there give your marriage to God. No matter how much you love your spouse I believe you will feel an even deeper connection with God’s driving your purpose.
