The challenges of life are much more difficult when you have one foot in the world and one foot in faith. There is so much “information” out there that our minds are easily deceived. Some things may be desirable to our own beliefs as to what is important but often times those beliefs revolve around our worldly goals and delights while pulling us further from our creator. We tend to focus on this short life yet everything we do within the world is left here when we depart. Doesn’t this make us short sighted? And doesn’t our focus on our own goals make us arrogant and selfish to believe that we are here just to please ourselves? If the purpose of our lives is wrapped up in the few decades we breathe then it would seem that it would be ultimately pointless. Life is short, eternity is long. Prepare, understand and realign your goals for you soul is truly at stake.
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18
Our conscience yearns for realization. It is designed to want the truth. But we tend to get so wrapped up in the world we ignore the burning desire for answers and focus on all the things that hold us back and ultimately get left behind.
Thank you Lord for your divine inspiration through your word so that we may choose to seek your will and to understand what is to come.
