So often throughout my life I have heard people claim they don’t trust the bible because it has been interpreted and reinterpreted and couldn’t have remained accurate. I heard it so much that I regurgitated the same garbage myself. Now that my eyes are open and my mind is full of desire to understand I decided to test that nonsense and nonsense it is.

“All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach is what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT

“All scripture is inspired (God breathed) by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness.; so that the man or woman of God may be fully capable, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NASB

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV

No matter what I am studying I find little difference in context…the difference is mainly dialect. Since I was a teen I held tight to reading only King James because I believed as I was taught by some churches it is the only reliable version. I so regret relying on that false statement. King James is old english and far from how we express meaning through our current dialect making it difficult to engage with. I truly enjoy reading from my NLT and again I compare to the thees and thous of the KJv and find everything in sync in meaning but for me the NLT is so much easier to read.

Do not let the enemy confuse you over the opinions of man. Please pick up the bible and determine for yourself.

I see a deep dark decline in society. We have come to love ourselves too much. Many attend church wanting to hear how wonderful we are, how much God will bless us with health and wealth and happiness. And many of us turn away when we get into the nitty gritty of true salvation. As stated in 2 Timothy 4:3, “For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.” Folks that time is now.

I attended a funeral recently in which the “pastor” stated “you don’t have to follow the rules or worry about commandments. Jesus loves us all as we are.” This is so false and so dangerous for people to cling to. And this person is a pastor of a church…a leader of broken sinners seeking salvation. The enemy has certainly been strategic in whom he uses to blind the masses. God have mercy on us.

Have a blessed evening and remember the most important thing you can understand is that God loves us so much that he sacrificed his only son so that we may have eternal life. Stop reading that as some cliche quote of inspiration and recognize it as a God inspired promise.
